Byseewah's Ken Morris is co-founder of Worldwide Ethical Hunters Association, an organization which has as its only purpose: To promote amongst hunters a code of ethics that will allow the hunting community to raise their image as true conservationists and gain appreciation of all nature lovers.

The code holds 12 articles each member agrees to abide by :
1. To tell the truth and be a hunter of your word.
2. To stick to your sworn code of hunters ethics.
3.
m
To obey the conservation laws of the country or place you are hunting in and always hunt on foot and under the dictum of fair chase.
4. Never shoot from a vehicle.
5. Stick to not shooting approximately closer than 200m from a vehicle.
6. Never shoot animals at a waterhole.
7.
n
Refuse to take a shot at any animal you are not sure of or not ready
to shoot.
8.
b
Never shoot any animal in a cage or caught in a trap. (other than for
humane reasons).
9.
b
Never shoot any animal that you suspect is drugged or has been set
up in small camps etc.
10.
n
Never support such operators or outfits with your hunting and report
to the authorities all such activities.
11.
b
Always treat with respect the animals you are hunting. Never sit or
stand on a taken animal or allow it to be handled badly.
12. Try not to shoot pregnant animals or undersized animals.

The biggest threat to hunting is bad ethics. Many outfits run for the money and nothing else, while others are becoming like supermarkets. By insisting that ethical hunting methods are applied, the hunter can change things around, since he's finally the one that pays to pull the trigger. All hunting at Byseewah is done on foot and is carried out according to the sportsman's dictum of fair chase.
