Namibia is a vast country,
nearly four times as large as Britain with a population
of just
over 1½ million which makes it the least densely
populated area per km² in Africa.
Its beauty lies in its landscape, the diversity of its
fauna and flora and in its many places
of interest, for example the oldest and most scenic desert,
the largest meteorite and
some of the highest sand dunes in the world.
"Byseewah" covers an area of over 28.000 hectares
and is situated 40 km south of Etosha Pan. The terrain
is diverse, comprising chiefly of Mopane forests, acacia
woodlands, plains
areas, mountains, valleys and a large pan area. There
are no internal fences or cattle
on Byseewah.
The climate in Namibia is excellent, with hot summer months
and warm winters. The rainy season occurs during the summer
months between October and March. The official
language of Namibia is English, followed by Afrikaans
and German. The Namibian Dollar
is so far equivalent to the South African Rand. |
