Byseewah supports its safari activities with some of the finest accommodations in Namibia. We cater to small groups only to ensure that our guests feel at home and have a very personalized African experience.
Byseewah’s goal is to make all our guests feel that they are at home and a part of our family. Our spacious rondawals and unique tents—beautifully decorated with African furniture and artifacts—are fully equipped with all the modern comforts of home.
Traditional thatched buildings provide cool spaces during the hot days. Guests can relax with a book or binoculars in the lounge area overlooking a waterhole which is always frequented by Byseewah’s feathered and four-legged residents. Watch how the gemsbok, eland, and kudu line up to get a drink. Our guests can help themselves to beverages at our self-service bar. Fresh lemons from our trees make for a refreshing afternoon drink.
At night we serve dinner around a crackling log fire under the African sky. Lynda and Ken have mastered the art of cooking African game from traditional “poitjie” pots and gemsbok steaks to bird pies. We also have a specially built pizza oven—a winner with children who love creating their own pizzas.
Our plunge pool allows guests to cool off after a long morning hunting or walking. We also have a well-equipped gymnasium for those who don’t feel they have had enough exercise out in the bush.
Byseewah will arrange game drives and special picnic lunches in the bush. For those who need a little retail therapy, we also have a small “shopping mall” featuring African arts and crafts.
Byseewah maintains a large pool of modern vehicles that are suitable for a variety of activities, from organizing sightseeing trips to Etosha National Park and Victoria Falls to traveling off-road.
